Weekly Prayer
Lord Jesus, Help me to be a better disciple: To forgive more easily, To pray more gratefully, To help more spontaneously, To live my faith more openly, And to love more fully. Amen. Our Lady of Mount Carmel…Pray for us.
General Announcements
Dear Lancer Community,
We are reaching out to ask for your prayers, love and support for Deacon Scott Pickett.
Deacon Pickett had not been feeling well lately and this past Friday afternoon, he was taken by ambulance to Banner University Medical Center. After undergoing a series of tests, Scott was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma.
Scott has courageously battled and beaten cancer in the past and we ask God our Father to once again support him on this journey. The entire Salpointe community of students, faculty and staff came together in an inspirational prayer circle in Doherty Stadium yesterday, asking God for a miracle for our brother Scott.
Nicole, Scott’s wife, has given permission to share this news with our Salpointe community and we will continue to provide updates. Thank you for joining us in prayer and standing together as one family in faith and love.
With gratitude for your prayers,
Kay and Ardemis
Important Health Guidelines for Students: When to Stay Home from School
If you are a student feeling unwell, you should stay home from school if you experience the following symptoms: fever (100.4 or greater), fever with rash, cough that is not improving, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, severe headache, muscle aches or any other contagious symptoms that could potentially spread illness to others. Students must be fever free for 24 hours without medication before going back to school. Do not hesitate to contact your student’s medical provider or the Salpointe Catholic Nurse at 520-547-9395 if you have any questions or concerns. Healthy students are better learners! Thank you.
